Overview

One visual identity for every figure: matplotlib style, TikZ preamble, Mermaid theme, and a palette file for SVG tools — the exact kit this site’s figures use.

Why use it

Consistent figures across matplotlib, TikZ, Mermaid, and SVG is a style-file problem, not a discipline problem. This kit makes the correct style the default in each tool.

How to use it

  1. Unzip into your project (e.g. styles/).
  2. Matplotlib: plt.style.use('styles/augmented-scholar.mplstyle').
  3. TikZ: \\input the preamble; use asnode, asarrow, asaccent.
  4. Mermaid/SVG: apply the JSON theme / pull hex values from palette.json.
When NOT to use this Journal-mandated styles override any kit — comply with the venue first and note the deviation.
