Free and open source. Install instructions in the repository README.
Overview
Creates the structural furniture of an academic poster — header band with title, authors, affiliations, logos — from a dialog, so you start from a correct skeleton instead of aligning rectangles for an hour.
Why it exists
The first hour of poster-making is pure layout carpentry; this automates it.
How to install
- Open the GitHub repository and follow the README — installation is the standard Inkscape route: copy the extension files into your Inkscape
extensionsfolder. - Restart Inkscape; the extension appears under Extensions in the menu.
- Check the README for dependencies (Python packages, API keys, or external binaries where applicable).
When NOT to use this
Templates encode one aesthetic — departments with strict poster templates should check compliance first.
